'DRINK'
David Millar ,who saddly passed away on the 27th october 2007 while on a fishing trip on loch lomond. It was the last saturday of the fishing season so david and his friend set of to enjoy a pleasant day fishing, but the weather was very rough. That morning I had left the vale of leven district angeling club we had stopped for something to eat on Inchmurrin but david gave his boat to his friend who had to be home and i joined this friend on the sort journey back to the angling club.Just after we had left the island the weather started to deteriorate.Shortly after David set of the boat was on started to sink.It then capsized a both David and his pal Andrew Wood were killed.
David was a very kind and thoughtfull person who was always laughing about something. He was the sort of man that when you spend time with him time seemed to fly by and everyone who knew him would agree.
David had a very large family, his mother Margaret father Billy ,brothers; Pat, Alan, Gary, Billy and Andy. Anne who David loved very much, his son David, and daughter melissa. With five brothers David also had alot of nephews and nieces, and every one of us miss him with all our hearts!
Sadly ten years ago David's brother Andy who was my dad also died so this is a second tragedy for our family when the hurt of the first has still not passed.
I would like to thank all the crew of the loch lomond rescue boat , the coatsguard and the strathclyde police for their time and bravery on the night. Thank you for visiting this site and i hope you will light a candle for this great man.
